I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
